The Humane Society of Marion County is now located at 701 N.W. 14th Road, Ocala, Fl.  34475  We are very proud to be

in a new building and also be located very convenient to the people in Marion County and surrounding counties. We are open to the public at the following times:

Monday through Sunday 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.

Closed all day Wednesday.

In addition we have dogs and cats available for adoption at PetSmart of Ocala during the following times:

On Saturday the 14th of November the Humane Society of Marion County  will hold the sixth annual Cars, Trucks  and Cycle Show, 9am to 4pm, at the McPherson County Complex on 25th Avenue in Ocala, Florida.

Hot Dogs & Cool Cats is a free family and pet friendly event where the best in all categories of vehicles will be on display and will compete for awards.  Live music, food, crafts, entertainment and pet or children’s photos with Santa will be featured throughout the day. An awards ceremony will be held to honor local animal rescue groups and individuals who have given of their time and efforts to make a significant difference in the welfare of the animals in Marion County. Trophies will be awarded in categories from Pre WW 2 to the present for cars and trucks, and in foreign, domestic and custom categories for motorcycles.  Each category will have a Best in Category and People’s Choice award and there will be an overall Best in Show award.  The registration fee is $15.00 if received by 11/06/09 and $20.00 at the gate. A pre-show escorted motorcycle ride will start at the Marion County Sheriff’s Department Substation on Hwy. 301/441, north of Hwy.326, and will end up at the event. Bikes may be entered into the judging at that time. Registration begins at 9:00am with kickstands up at 10:00am sharp. Admission to this fun filled day is free. Everyone at this event has always had a great time. It has gotten larger every year. So why not get signed up early. The SPAY/NEUTER license plate is now available for sale in the state of Florida.  CLICK HERE to visit the official website for the plate.  Plates may be purchased at the county tax office for $25 above normal annual registration cost and may also be personalized for an additional fee.
