W.O.O.F. Program - Women Offering Obedience & Friendship

Patriot Service Dogs has partnered with Lowell Women's Prison & Marion County Humane Society to help make shelter dogs more adoptable. "WOOF" is an 8 week program where the inmates are given the opportunity to give back by helping shelter dogs learn basic obedience & house manners, making them easier to adopt into forever homes. The first 'Meet and Greet' for the "WOOF" dogs was on June 19th 2011).

W.O.O.F. Group 9

CAPTAIN MORGAN (aka Anna)

Morgan is a 1 1/2 year old, 36 pound Labrador Retriever/Boxer mix. She has the cutest smile (she likes to show off her underbite)! She would love a home with a doggy friend or two because her favorite game is tag. She grabs a toy and runs like heck with all the other dogs trailing along behind! Temperament-wise she is sweet and affectionate, but a tad stubborn. With a little patience and persistence though, Morgan is learning skills that will make her an ideal family member.
BLADE (aka Solo)

Do you want a dog to keep you entertained? Blade is the dog for you! He loves to play with his human and doggy friends, and loves to jump. As a matter of fact at the prison he's known as the "circus dog". Blade has a medium energy level and when he's not playing or jumping for joy he can be found hanging out under his handler's bed or snoozing in his crate. He is a 32 pound, 1 year old shepherd mix (maybe with hound or beagle?) and would do well with an active family with a fenced yard.
CRYSTAL TREASURE (aka Roxy)

Crystal surely is a treasure. She is a1 year old Labrador/Rottweiler mix. The only way to describer her is joyful! Her personality is pure Labrador. She is already well mannered and is a natural at obedience training. She gets along well with other dogs, loves kids, knows how to use a doggy door, is good with cats, and loves to go for rides in the car. To top it all off she is a beauty! Now all she needs is a family to love. Wouldn't you like to meet her?
